Disco de The Fall: “Cheetham Hill”

OH, I have always loved this band. This CD is one for Fall completists who desire everything the band have ever done, and this one is a great introductory compliation as well for those new to the band. A useful round-up of live material and some tracks from THE LIGHT USER SYNDROME CD album, this contains some interesting tracks, such as the very gothic CHEETHAM HILL and COLISEUM(live) and a cover or two, notably WHITE LIGHTNING, a Big Bopper cover of a rock'n'roll classic original! The live versions of tracks such as IDIOT JOY SHOWLAND(from the 1991 LP SHIFTWORK) and ED'S BABE(rare 1993 single) are strong. Vocalist Mark E. Smith rants in his inimitable fashion about everything from alcohol to home improvements to red light districts to the music business, punctuating every stanza with -ah!. TOP THAT-ah! The mighty Fall rock once again-ah!
