The Maccabees concerts 2012

The Maccabees have announced they will play their biggest headline show to date at Alexandra Palace on June 8th.

‪The South London five-piece are enjoying a hugely successful year, with a sold out UK tour and a top 5 album already under their belts. Their stunning, critically – lauded third album Given To The Wild was released on Fiction Records on January 9th and flew into the UK charts at number 4.

‪Having just begun their sold out UK tour on Saturday in Sheffield, the band will play a homecoming headline show at Brixton Academy this Thursday (26th).

Tickets for Alexandra Palace will be priced at £20 and go on general sale on ‪Friday 27th January at 9am.

Support on the tour will come from Breakout star Toronto's The Weekend, who created the incredible remix for "Shake it out", and UK's The Macabees are set to open.
CEREMONIALS, recorded at the famed Abbey Road Studios and produced by Paul Epworth (Adele) was released in the US on November 1st and debuted on the Billboard Top 100 Charts at No. 6. Last December, Florence + The Machine performed an unforgettable acoustic show at the Angel Orensanz Center in front of an intimate crowd for the re launch of the seminal MTV series, MTV Unplugged. The show aired on April 8th and the album immediately after, featuring tracks off her newest album and her multi-platinum debut Lungs. Josh Homme of Queens of The Stone Age made a special appearance to perform Johnny Cash's "Jackson", and Florence silenced the crowd with her own version of Otis Redding's "Try A Little Tenderness".
