- What is "emo"?
"Emo" is such a wimpy word to describe this band and record. The Promise Ring, fresh off of their last album "Very Emergency", have put out new material on "Electric Pink". Although it may not be their finest work since "Nothing Feels Good", it shows that the band is dedicated to the fans by putting out fresh songs for the band's rabid followers who have craved more since "Very Emergency". It is worth a listen for those who want to start listening to the Promise Ring, and a must have for the fans.
- Strictly catchy.
This sounds similar to catchy pop of "Very Emergency". If you didn't like "Very Emergency" you will not like this. For most part, two of these songs came from the "Very Emergency" sessions, and the other two are tracks recorded for this EP. There isn't much to say about this, apparently you'll hate it if you're not a TPR fan and didn't enjoy the album before this. You'll love it if you're a pop (fan) like me into Weezer and anything horribly catchy. "So, yeah, I feel electric pink in the cheeks/ We look like animals seven days a week"

- Rather dull
After expecting something alittle more promising from the Promise Ring, I have to say that this c.d. is the worst purchase I have made in the past year. Once I heard the song Raspberry Rush, I said to myself that these guys are great. I wanted to purchase that c.d. at a record store but they didn't carry it. I bought this as a precursor to my next purchase. I was very upset. This sounds even worse than that New Found Glory garbage. Don't buy this, unless you have a Promise Ring fetish.

- more fun from the promise ring
if you liked the very emergency or boys and girls you'll love this album by the promise ring. its energetic and catchy and not too heavy. The lyrics aren't quite as cryptic as the early albums but they might make you laugh. it might not make you cry but you might be bobbing your head and singing along.........

- garbage pure and simple
This is weak and cheesy music. The whole EMO genre is complete BS. If you want punk riffs listen to The Business and The Dropkick Murphy's, two bands that blow the Promise Ring out of the water.
