They were so cleverly interwoven with Mick's vocals, it is nothing short of genius. There are actually three guitar parts on the original recording. I've taken the parts that in my opinion are the most prominent and formed them into one. Is it perfect? Hell no. If I were that good I'd be playing a gig instead of posting videos on youtube. This is for fun and hopefully will help somebody, somewhere. Some will ask how this could be called a lesson without tab, chords or breaking it down. I feel that any intermediate guitarist should be able to break this down. Take advantage of the link above that will show my hands much more clearly. The licks themselves are obviously simple, the challenge is playing them in time with Mick's vocals. The guitar tone is a little more distorted than the record. If I would have recorded loud enough to get that type of tone w/o a pedal, the stereo probably couldn't keep up. You'll see me reach over and turn up the pedal slightly going into the solo. I wanted the guitar to be more prominent. The guitar solo is in standard tuning so I tried to come up with a solo that would mimic the horn arrangement. That's all I got. I hope somebody gets something out of this. Rock on...
