<p>Hailing from nowhere in particular, or so the members of the band claim, the Summer Obsession offers up an intense dose of pop punk. Singer Lucien's slightly nasal delivery and the band's tight musicianship combine to make this disc feel like the distilled essence of quick, bouncy rock music. Summer Obsession can switch gears on a dime, from a slow verse accompanied by keyboard figures, to a chorus of driving guitars, to a slow, wistful coda. The songs are mostly relationship stories, happy or sad, but either way they are turned into feel-good pop.

I ended up only knowing 3 songs off of this whole album so I decided to get it and I received it just a couple days I am very impressed 4 of 7 people found the following review helpful:
- Absolute Love.
I listened to one song and absolutly fell in love with The Summer Obsession. So I HAD to have their cd. It's the kind of band that if you need a "pick-me-up". Just listen to one of their songs and it sets you in a good mood. And just to let you know it's not one of those cds where you hear one song love it and end up disliking the rest of the cd. ..is The Summer Obsession!
I've been waiting the longest time for their debut cd "This Is Where You Belong" to come out,and it was well worth it!!The song "Melt the Sugar" was-and still is-a favorite of mine.
Good job,boys.The wait was well worth it!
