Now then - ghost notes: you need to realise that the full blown Rosanna shuffle groove (ie lots ghost notes including the one immediately after the backbeat) does not kick in until the SECOND verse: I refer you (a) to a careful listen of the original and (b) to 'geofffry' who has an awesome version of Rosanna on YouTube and who seems to be a leading authority on these matters! The groove builds, which only adds to the difficulty of this cover. Next subject -- whilst the full Rosanna shuffle groove is undoubtedly difficult to get right, everyone seems to overlook the fact that the bridges and fills and outro are not exactly easy either! Geoff Fry of course makes 'em look easy, but frankly I find them very hard and unnatural, and hence my version is not as tight as it should be. Oh well! On a final note, Jeff Porcaro was just incredible......
