- Trapt - Live Review

Trapt's Live album is great. It covers all of their hits up to date and has two new studio songs. If you like live music, you will enjoy this album.

- it's a bit of a waste to release a live album after on TWO studio albums

The Good

To tide fans over until their third album, Trapt delivers a live set complete with two new studio tracks. The studio track "Stay Alive" has a killer opening riff that sure to make you thirsty for more. Chris Brown drives the lyrics home with his powerful vocals. The second studio track "Everything to Lose" is a bit more toned down than its predecessor. Lyrically, it could probably relate to the bands forthcoming release. Now onto the live set. "Stillframe" kicks off the set to thunderous applause as the group rifles through nine of their best songs including the rock radio hit "Headstrong." The group sounds great and gives the performance of their career. I've actually seen them live, and this release is an accurate portrayal of their sound.

The Bad

You know as well as I do, "live" is never really live. Also, I think it's a bit of a waste to release a live album after on TWO studio albums. A live album is a greatest hits cash-in of sorts. Trapt has not been around long enough for a greatest hits album or a live album, hence the nine song set list.

The Verdict

I like the new songs, but an EP would have been a better avenue to promote this material.

There's only 2 knew songs on this album the rest are just live versions of there songs that was on there 1 and 2 album. The 2 knew songs on this album 1 of them was the best, and the only best song on this album is stay alive the other knew one was was'nt that good. This was a waste only one song was great.
