Trin-i-tee 5:7 Album: “The Kiss”
Description :
Trin-i-tee 5:7: Chanelle, Adrian, Angel.

Producers include: Darren & Keith, J Moss, Shep Crawford, Big Bert, Travon Potts.

There are countless acts that mix elements of Christian music and gospel with pop, rock, and R&B, so the Christian crossover thing is no big news in 2002. However, precious few artists have thus far had the prescience (or indeed the know-how) to add hip-hop into the equation. Don't misunderstand, the three photogenic young ladies who make up Trin-i-tee 5:7 (you've gotta give it to them for the name alone), aren't rapping for the lord, that crossover has yet to make its mark (we're waiting). Rather, they're a vocally lithe R&B harmony trio with all the skill and strength of a Destiny's Child. But instead of bitching about no-account boyfriends, these ladies sing about what their faith means to them. Amid state-of-the-art hip-hop/R&B production values like those found on THE KISS, those sentiments sound surprisingly fresh.

- impressive
I don't own any other CDs from Trinitee, this is the only one. I really didn't expect it to be this good. It can easily pass as an R&B album. Some songs express their feelings towards guys such as "Sixteen Again", and "All of My Life" which is fine because it sends a message to wait on God to send that special someone. But overall these songs were really nice. They redid Musiq's "Love" and changed the words which was fine. I also liked the way they redid "People Get Ready" but I forgot who was the original artist. "Rescue Me" and "All of My Life" were beautiful. I loved the lyrics and it was very enjoyable. "Holla" and "Dance Like Sunday" are off the hook and are songs you can dance to. Other songs I liked were "Sixteen Again", "Here 4 U" and "Greater Than You and Me", very good songs. If you like contemporary gospel I recommend that you get this. It sounds just like R&B and it's worth listening to.

- the MOST AWSOME kiss
Let me just say that I had a whole month to listen to the Mary Mary "Incredible" cd. But the moment I put this cd in the player, I knew that Mary Mary, gets second fiddle to the girls of Trin-i-tee. This album is very cohesive and very much in the groove mood. While they might not have as many hard hitting dance tracks, they manage to pull off what most christian artist cannot, the art of the spiritual groove. Songs like "Sixteen again" & "What he Wants" make you wanna just chill with someone you love and just get your praise on. The production on this album is much better than the two previous albums. JMOSS, And DARKCHILD's contribution to this project are really astounding. These girls have never sounded better. So if you haven't got this cd, you've better go get it. The inspirational message will fill your soul and the mood is just HOT!

- Making their mark!
I really love this third album by Trin-i-tee, iv been a fan of theirs since they released 'God's Grace', a song that reached me on so many different levels. This album truly is magnificent but i am at a dilemma, i can't choose my favourite song! they are all so good. I love the slow jams so i wasn't disappointed with this album i liked the songs 'Rescue Me' and track 2 'Lord' as well as 'People Get ready'... if you havent got this album, i Suggest you get it right this minute and may the Lord Bless Your Heart. Well Done GIRLS!

- First rate album by 1st rate artistes!
This album captured my attention from the very start. It oozes quality and distinction. Trin-i-tee have made a very clever move into more secular mainstream R&B/Soul(thanks to the influence of PJAM and co.) but it's a move well executed. I can't wait to see the lovely ladies on the secular charts - 'bout time someone cleaned it up with some quality sanctified-music.
I particularly enjoyed the Urban remix of 'Holla'(Track1), Dance like it's Sunday(4), I wish (13, brings back memories) and 'All my life'(15). A non believing friend of mine listened to it and immediately took to the title track 'The kiss'.
The album's got intelligent vocal arragements and music production - I'm even making repeat purchases!
Also recommended: The Rebirth of Kirk Franklin, Mary Mary's 'Incredible!' and Michael W Smith's 'Worship'
