- LOUSY TOMBRAIDER MIX, EXCELLENT OTHER MIXES
The Tomb Raider mix familiar to most is less bouncey and more industrial thanks to former NIN guy Charlie Clouser, and is not really my cup of tea. Much more fascinating are a sort of arabic hiphop version that anyone who has seen U2 live recently will be familiar with, and an evil hiphop turn on the Quincey and Sonace mix.

- The Goal is Soul ...
"Elevation" - a rock song, a dance tune, a soundtrack favourite. U2 have always been able to pump out songs that can get you to stand up and move, go 80 mph in a 35, and lift your spirit when your soul is anything but elevated.
This single includes 4 remixes. The first being the hit single from The Tomb Raider movie (I dare anyone not to rock out to this song). The Second, the 'Escalation Mix', takes U2 back to it's more dance friendly phase - not too memorable, but still good. The third and probably most famous with the U2 crowd is the 'Influx Remix'. This remix was featured as the band's intro for their Elevation tour. The 'Influx Remix' is a great example of what all remixes should be like. Experimental, but true to the original song. Can't beat that Sitar. Finally, the last song featured on the single is the 'Quincey & Sonance Remix'. Quincey & Sonance also did an admirable remix of U2's "Beautiful Day" but their take on "Elevation" stands high above it.
This is just a great song with great rock, great roll, and great soul. U2 have done it again and it is obvious who has the job of greatest Rock 'n Roll band on the planet.

- Influx Baby!
The influx remix of elevation is better than anything on their new album (save for In a Little While). It makes one yearn that they returned to their more experimental 90's music, instead of dishing out cold leftovers on their new album.
