
'Dark Knight' Nears $400 million Mark!ET has the latest... Box office powerhouse 'The Dark Knight' neared the $400 million mark, still No. 1 for the third week in a row. The superhero thriller made another $43.8 million during its third weekend in release, studio estimates showed Sunday. The Warner Bros. movie has now made an astounding $394.9 million and studio executives say they expect the it to earn at least $100 million more, which would make it the No. 2 biggest grossing domestic film of all time behind 'Titanic,' which made $601 million in US box office. 'The Dark Knight' did face competition from the new 'Mummy' sequel, which made an estimated $42.5 million its opening weekend. 'The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor' stars Brendan Fraser, whose character goes on a mission with his son to unearth a mummy cursed by a wizard.
