Believe it or not, I'm a new fan of Uriah Heep, having really only gotten into them via the latest outstanding "Wake The Sleeper" CD. This collection should be a treasure-trove for long-time Heep fans & if you're a new fan like me, I was thrilled with all these excellent songs, even if they are re-recordings. The older songs still sound fresh & vital. The two new songs on the set ("Only Human" & "Corridors Of Madness") would've been right at home on "Wake The Sleeper." The DVD is an outstanding live performance which complements the CD perfectly. Overall, an outstanding value for the money! The Wolf
I to am a new fan at age 47. I was familar with a few classics from radio play, but was not prepared for the butt kicking I received when I saw them play live in Milwaukee in November. I ordered Wake The Sleeper the next day , and now have Celebration in my collection. I Would recommend To any one who loves music to have both of these mentioned in their collection. I have said many times all bands that have been around for multible decades should re-record classics with their current line ups. I can only thank this band for sharing their music old and new with all of us. I will look forward to future music and live performances from this rocking band. SUPPORT THE HEEP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have been a fan since my brother played wizards and demons for me and I was 11
years old! Uriah Heep Live is one of the greatest live albums ever and I listen
to it at least once a week! I loved Aboming and the 80's stuff and saw then in
The Warehouse in New Orleans! for the last time! I haven't followed them since
then but always listen to all the 70's and 80's stuff! I can say I missed out.
They have been putting out great rock since. I got this just to get see the band
again after getting the reunion dvd with Hensley/Lawton which blew me away! this
dvd is just as good. The band is awesome and the dvd is great showing the band is
still powerful and playing great music. Cd is also good with unreleased material.
I just order Waking the Sleeper and am going see this on tour! I recently saw
MSG and UFO and Y&T and there's no better vacation than to see a band you like.
I hope Heep will forgive me for not supporting them so I hope they stay around
for a few more years. If you know classic heep or into melodic hard rock then
Uriah Heep is the best place to start! Hall of Fame? Should be!
