- This is the Son of Animal....This is the Manimal!!!

Blackie Lawless, Chris Holmes, Johny Rod and Steve Riley rock this album from beginning to end. Blackie's unique voice sounds as good on stage as he does in the studio. This album closed the door on the 'classic' W.A.S.P. sound. Beginning with their next album "Headless Children' W.A.S.P. would leave behind the sex, drugs, and rock n roll mindlessness and begin writing music in a more serious direction. However this was a hell of a way to go.

The songs are mostly all classics, 'Wild Child', 'Blind in Texas', and 'I Wanna be Somebody' are all here at their primal best. We also get songs like 'Manimal' and 'Harder Faster'. These two songs are only heard on this album and no studio version of these songs exist, at least not to my knowledge. You also get the studio version of the Ghoulies II song 'Scream until you like it.'

I originally bought this album on vinyl when it was first released in the late 80's. I thought it was awesome then, but now with the bonus tracks and digitally remastered it's even better. This is W.A.S.P. the way they should be lewd, rude, and really really crude.

- An immortal recording ressurrected!

For those of you out there like myself who grew up to early 80's metal and long to replenish your music collection with those melodious sounds of the glory days, this is a MUST have! I purchased this album when it was originally released about a decade ago, and like all other classics, it mysteriously disappeared (no doubt at the hands of my "friends") soon after. For several years, I endured the frustration of trying to find it at every music store known to man, but to no avail because it was no longer produced. At last Blackie Lawless and his crew have come to my rescue, and in the process brought their trademark music to the world. Metal fans, fret no more because this is the album for you!

this live album captures w.a.s.p. at their best. there was one song that i remember from when i was younger: harder faster. wild child and blind in texas from "the last command" are on here too and they are awesome live. i have to get more live w.a.s.p. on cd

- Clasic 80's Glam Metal At It's Best

Clasic 80's Metal at it's best. If you want self-pitting angst (a.k.a. Nirvana), skip it. But if you want bigger than life rock with all the glitter and glamour the 80's could provide, this is for you. Their band name, W(e) A(re) S(exual) P(erverts) says it all. From the lead off track Welcome To The Electric Circuis, through Manimal and Harder Faster, this is a non-stop adrenilen ride, full of rythm guitars riffs and passionate screaming. And this is a band that truely sounds best live, like all true rock does. If you love live rock that's bigger than life, with attitude, power, and glamour, this ones for you.
