W.A.S.P. выпустят свой пятнадцатый студийный альбом «Golgotha» уже в августе этого года.

Группа W.A.S.P. появилась на Лос-анджелесской метал-сцене в 1982 году и быстро набрала популярность благодаря их шок-рокерским выходкам. С более чем 30-летней карьерой, 17-ю мировыми турне, и вот сейчас с 15-м студийным альбомом, они – зрелая команда, которая с годами не потеряла собственный стиль и звук, в отличие от многих своих коллег. «Golgotha» продолжит тему, начатую альбомом «Dominator» в 2007-м году и продолженную в 2009-м альбомом «Babylon» как в плане звучания, так и в плане текстов. После шестилетнего перерыва «Golgotha», несомненно, приведет слушателя к эмоциональным эпическим истокам, благодаря чему W.A.S.P. и стали знамениты!

Almost six years have passed since the world saw a new studio album from Metal Icons W.A.S.P. That is about to change as W.A.S.P. has signed a new worldwide record deal with Austria’s Napalm Records. W.A.S.P. will release their 15th studio album titled Golgotha this August.

W.A.S.P. came out of the Los Angeles Metal scene in 1982 gaining notoriety for their shock rock antics. With a career spanning over 3 decades, 17 world tours, and now their 15th studio album, they are a metal band that has evolved in maturity without having lost their signature sound, unlike many of their peers from their origins. Golgotha will continue down the path that 2007’s Dominator and 2009’s Babylon started on, both in production style and theme. Six years in the making, Golgotha will undoubtedly lead the listeners on the emotionally epic undertaking that W.A.S.P. has become acclaimed for!

Ska vi vara petiga så släpper W.A.S.P. albumet ”Golgotha” via Napalm Records redan i augusti, men turnén som startar i England, enligt hitintills släppta datum, har namngets ”The Bloody Road to Golgotha“ och vilka är vi att ifrågasätta Blackie Lawless?

Nästan sex år har passerat sedan vi senast fick ett W.A.S.P.-album, enligt bandet ska ”Golgotha” fortsätta på samma bana som ”Dominator” (2007) och ”Babylon” (2009) men frontmannen säger själv att det inte är skivan han började göra som kommer att släppas.

“There’s one thing I learned when I was doing ”The Crimson Idol”: If you make a record over too long a time, the record you start out making is not the record you end up finishing. You’ve changed so much as a person over a three or four-year period. You’ve got to be very careful to hold on to the vision.”

Över trettio år i branschen, 17 världsturnéer och nu på väg att släppa sitt 15:e studioalbum!

Seis largos años han pasado desde que W.A.S.P. lanzaran su último disco. Tras firmar con el sello Napalm Records los de Blackie Lawless están inmersos en la preparación de “GOLGOTHA”, su 15º disco de estudio.

No son sólo una leyenda y una de las bandas de heavy metal más grandes de la historia, W.A.S.P. son de los pocos que se presentan con una bagaje de más de 3 décadas, 17 tours mundiales y 15 discos en su haber. Han llegado hasta aquí sin perder un ápice de su sonido característico, “Golgotha” seguirá lo que comenzó “Dominator” en 2009 y estamos seguros que llevará a quien lo escuche a un épico y emotivo viaje de vuelta al sonido de la desgarradora e inmortal voz de Blackie.
