Kanye West Debuts “Love Lockdown” Video on “Ellen”Photo: Rozman/Warner Bros Kanye West premiered his new video for “Love Lockdown” today on Ellen. Like the three “Flashing Lights” videos before it, “Lockdown” makes for a strange viewing, with a despondent West loafing around depressed in a white room surrounded by a bunch of African tribes and 15-foot women covered in Day-Glo paint. That’s essentially the plot. At the halfway mark, a spaceship inexplicably makes an appearance, but the highlight of the whole thing is at the 1:09 when the guy with the spear breaks through the aspect ratio for a too-brief 3D feel. Still, the weirdest part this whole thing is that West premiered this clip on Ellen DeGeneres’ show — maybe we can look forward to premiere of the “Heartless” video on The View. Kanye isn’t the only one not using MTV to premiere new videos this week, however, as Britney Spears will debut her “Womanizer” on 20/20 Friday while Weezer unveiled their “Troublemaker” video on Yahoo! Tokyo Police Club Pay a Visit to Wisteria LaneIn case you were busy watching last night’s TRL finale, you missed a strange collision of cultures over on ABC, as Canadian indie rockers Tokyo Police Club guested on Desperate Housewives. The plot of the episode centered around a “Battle of the Bands” night at a club somewhere close to Wisteria Lane. The TPC boys appeared as a group called Coldsplash but played one of their originals “In a Cave.” Two of the band members even had lines in the episode, but those were apparently edited out of the final version. “”I walked past Eva Longoria at one point but I didn’t say hi,” said keyboardist Graham Wright. “You know how it is, they probably had better things to do than talk to us.” Related Stories: • Breaking: Tokyo Police Club • Tokyo Police Club Rock With Weezer, Angels & Airwaves on Tour • Album Review: Tokyo Police Club: Elephant Shell

Rivers Cuomo: “I Feel Incomplete Until the Music Gets Out There”Photo: Gallay/Getty Last year, Weezer frontman Rivers Cuomo put out Alone: The Home Recordings of Rivers Cuomo, a collection of rough demos that explored the outer reaches of Cuomo’s deep catalog. November 25th sees the release of Home II. Cuomo used to be known for throwing away a dozen songs for every one that made it onto an album, but now he’s mellowed. “I have this belief that it’s these real big inspirations that don’t come that often that actually produce the songs I like the best,” he explains. Click below for more from Cuomo, including what he thought of his most recent high school reunion and why he doesn’t want to tour by himself. • Q&A: Rivers Cuomo Related Stories: • Talk Show Flashback: Kennedy Freaks Out Weezer • Rivers Cuomo’s Encyclopedia of Pop • Album Review: Rivers Cuomo, Alone: The Home Recordings
