A treasure of British hard rock, Wishbone Ash lead the 70’s avante-garde along with bands like Led Zeppelin, King Crimson, and Pentangle. Jazz and folk tinged, Wishbone Ash thwart pigeonholing and thrill audiences with their unpredictable arrangements and stellar performances. They pushed the envelope with prog classics like Pilgrimage and Argus (Decca), and brought their deft brand of rock and roll to the world through tours with Deep Purple, The Who, Kiss, and Bruce Springsteen - an eclectic list of collaborators befitting the band’s broad sound.

With twenty plus albums released since 1970 Wishbone Ash have never stopped touring and never stopped producing. 2014’s Blue Horizon is vintage Wishbone, with winding instrumentals, hypnotic drums, and a range of styles from rock to celtic to funk.

One of the major innovators of the harmony twin lead guitar format, Wishbone Ash achieved initial success in the early 70s England. They became international superstars and are still lead by founder, guitarist and vocalist Andy Powell. After revolving line-ups featuring former members from King Crimson Trapeze and Uriah Heep, Wishbone Ash is stronger than ever!

In 1969, hét legendarische jaar, werd de Britse rockband Wishbone Ash opgericht. Het waren jonge mannen die klaar waren om een bijdrage te leveren aan de rockgeschiedenis, voornamelijk beïnvloed door jazz en progressieve rock. Na een jamsessie tijdens een soundcheck van niemand minder dan Deep Purple kreeg Wishbone Ash hun 'big break'. In twee jaar tijd namen ze maar liefst 3 albums op. Het derde album Argus werd een grote hit en wordt tot op de dag van vandaag nog gezien als één van de grootste klassieke rockalbums aller tijden!

Wishbone Ash speelt de volledige dubbele live-lp Live Dates uit 1973, tijdens de show in Hedon nemen de mannen je dan ook mee op een trip down memory lane!

Wishbone Ash werd in het legendarische jaar 1969 opgericht. De toenmalige bandleden waren jonge mannen, beïnvloed door jazz en progressieve rock, die stonden te springen om hun muzikale bijdrage te leveren aan de rockgeschiedenis. Na een spontane jamsessie tijdens een soundcheck van Deep Purple kreeg Wishbone Ash hun 'big break'. Hoogtepunten van hun carrière waren het album Argus uit 1972, dat miljoenen heeft opgebracht en wordt beschouwd als een van de beste classic rock albums aller tijden, samen met Pilgrimage en New England.

Nu ruim 40 jaar later wordt de band gezien als één van de pioniers in het gebruik van twin lead gitaren en heeft de band wereldwijde erkenning gekregen mede dankzij een stel ijzersterke touren.

Wishbone Ash, de Britse rockband die vooral bekend was in de jaren '70, komt deze avond hun succesvolle album 'Argus' (1972) integraal spelen.
