"Women as Lovers" by Xiu XiuXiu Xiu have recorded their most complete album since 2004's Fabulous Muscles with Women As Lovers, but fans looking for a repeat performance may be surprised. Very little has truly changed in that Jamie Stewart and his marauding band of damaged anti-pop heroes fill Women as Lovers, the band's sixth full length release, with the same spirit of idiosyncrasy, candor and vulnerability that has garnered them a significant, underground following over the last half-decade.
