All the songs are great, from the classic line-up of the band. It also features the wonderful song "Kari-Anne". The main drawback of this DVD is the mediocre sound quality. It is hard to hear the electric guitar work of Pat Thrall. Everything sounds a bit muddy and cloudy, including the bass and drums.
Also, Pat Thrall is a competent guitarist whose guitar solos are his own spontaneous playing rather than solos which resemble the studio-recorded versions. On the Live in USA, the guitarist Guthrie Glovan sticks very closely to the solos on the recorded versions.
That aside, die-hard Asia fans will really love this performance, despite its flaws.
If you want this disc, buy the "Asia -- Ultimate Collection" which includes this performance in Moscow along with the Live performance in Nottingham (the same line-up as Moscow), and the Live in the USA (with the different line-up of John Payne, Geoff Downes, Chris Slade, and Guthrie Glovan). It is much cheaper to buy the Ultimate Collection with all 3 discs, than each Live Performance individually. Great value for the money!
This concert video was recorded in Moscow in the fall of 1990. The concert footage is top notch, and all of the early Asia classics, such as "Heat of the Moment", "Only Time Will Tell", and "Sole Survivor" are included, as well as a heart pounding drum solo from Carl Palmer on "The Heat Goes On". Pat Thrall has replaced Steve Howe on lead guitar, but he doesn't miss a beat with his top notch guitar playing and harmony vocals. As usual, John Wetton's lead vocals and bass playing are at the forefront of the video. Geoff downes also displays his untouched talents on the keyboards. There are interviews with the band members throughout the video, as well as a new video for the song "Kari-Anne". All fans of Asia will enjoy this concert from the shadow of the Kremlin.
