If you haven't heard of the Dominican group, Aventura, or this, one of the most popular bachata songs today, you need to listen to this! Bachata is very similar to the cumbia of Mexico, Colombia and Venezuela. It is a "one, two, three" beat, very romantic and great for dancing with someone you love.
OBSESION has beautiful lyrics and these guys are AMAZING singers. The lead singer, Romeo, has a beautiful voice. The song is about a guy driven to obsession over a woman who has a boyfriend, and doesn't reciprocate his feelings. Judy Reyes, the lady who does coro (chorus) on this song has a beautiful, clear R&B voice. The combination of traditional guitar and percussion instruments from the Dominican Republic and r&b soul is just luscious!!! I must've listened to this song countless times on my daily walks. You will be hooked too! I'm sure you will hear it playing in latin clubs all over the place.
