The band was still on tour in support of their classic 1986 release, I AGAINST I, when the show was recorded, and nearly all of their expected favorites are included, as well as a few surprises. <p>Highlights include the rapid-fire rockers "I," "Rock for Light," "Sailin' On," "Fearless Vampire Killers," and "Pay to Cum," as well as the more moderately paced "Sacred Love" and "Re-Ignition," plus the dub-based title track, and a medley of the Beatles' "Day Tripper" and the Rolling Stones' "She's a Rainbow." THE YOUTH ARE GETTING RESTLESS is the best of all the live Bad Brains releases.

Of the collection of live Bad Brains albums, this is head and shoulders above all else. The set has great sound, which for hardcore shows, is a rarity, and HR is absolutely at the top of his game. Their smoking version of "House of Suffering" gives me chills just thinking about it. Sonic blasts played at lightening speed and with staggering musicianship; the Brains were perhaps the tightest quartet in hardcore history, with Earl and Darryl providing the rumble and rhythm, and Dr. Know blowing contemporary "hair metal" axemen out of the water. And yeah, they can cool I down wid de roots riddims, me dready. "Day Tripper/She's a Rainbow" is a lovely excursion into King Tubby-esque dub and sing-jay stylee. Overall, this is the Brains at their best. Superb renditions of their early gems ("Banned in DC") as well as later classics ("At the Movies"). You just wish people could wake up from their MTV-induced love affairs with new wave "punk" bands like Sum 41 and Blink 182 and rediscover the geniuses of the genre (see Minor Threat, Black Flag, "Sold Out"-era Gang Green). The Brains were the real deal.

The originators of Hardcore Punk in 1979, come together in Amsterdam for 1987's live album recording. The music is played as fast and furious as ever as HR and the crew play classic after classic. Comprimised of material between '79 and '87, classics such as "Right Brigade", "Re-Ignition", "Coptic Times", and "Pay to Cum" are all on the same disc, and live at that. Hardcore never sounded better.

Love it!!I'm a true blue Brains fan and i could listen to this album all day.Ever hear of wearing out a cd? The band and music is tight, mixed in with the explosive voice of HR, make this a cd that you shouldn't be without.As usual you have to listen to the Brains real loud with no disturbances.If you're a Brains freak like i am buy this cd now, and when you listen to this cd you will become "restless" and want to thrash!!

Please remove all breakable objects within 50 yards of your stereo before playing this disc. If you are a punk fan you will go absolutely nuts upon hearing this albumn. This might be Bad Brains best record. I can't say enough good things about this disc. My only beef is that it didn't include the track I against I.

brutal music with positive spiritual lyrics.strange mix? yeah but these guys started a sound so original.many have been influenced and have tried to copy but no way.Dr KNow has always been an overlooked guitar god.Bass and drums super tight.HR on vocals in his prime was a beast.
