- Flawless metal
I was a huge fan of "Fragments of D Generation" (the prior album) and I would have to say that "Mind Tricks" either matches or surpasses it. Ettore Rigotti has got to be the most amazing musician in metal today. He plays guitars, drums, vocals, bass and keys and writes the music!!! Come on. That would be impressive even if the music sucked...but it's unreal. The addition of Claudio Ravinale's extreme vocals makes the sound on this album all that more intense. There are no less than 3 vocal styles being used in most songs (Speed, Ravinale's and Rigotti with clean) and I f**cking love it. If you enjoy music like Soilwork, Dark Tranquillity, Darkane, or (newer) Hypocrisy than you should love Disarmonia Mundi. Check it out.
- Another Great Album from The Itailian Kings
Being one of the best bands I've heard in a while, I expect great things from them. Well, "Mind Tricks" didn't disappoint. While it doesn't quite up to their (fairly) new released "The Isolation Game", it is good. Their Pantera cover, Mouth For War, is better than the original. Songs like Process for Annihilation and Celestial Overdrive, with their crazy riffs and excellent vocals, renew any missing faith in the band. If they go on to make another album, it will defiantly join the "to buy" list, even if Speed doesn't sing much again...
- Atmospherical death metal
I went to a different web site and the reviewers hated this album. The main complaint was that the choruses were too "sing along". Come on, insn't this what melodeath is all about?
This album builds on fragments of degeneration and expands the sound. I listened to this album about 10 times in two days, it is that amazing. The mix is much improved on the previous album which is by itself a very impressive sophomore effort compared to nebularium.
Another complaint is that the lead guitar parts dissapeared. I disagree. Compared with fragments the leads seem similarly structured. The guitarrist (who sings, produces, plays bass, keyboard, and the drums) seems like an incarnation of early Vivian campbell in that he plays fast, but uses a lot of string bending to impart feeling to the soloing. He is fast but he does not abuse of the speed like other guitarrists.
The songs are very well crafted, like a puzzle, where every layer fits seamlesly. It is a beautiful (it is death metal after all). The way that keyboards are used never detracts to the music and adds a third dimension that honestly I never experienced in any recording before (well the same as fragments of degeneration). Graveworm and in flames: please take note of how to use the keyboards in death metal please.
I draw comparisons of this album to the style that scar symmetry is playing, a more accesible death metal that is not 100 mph all the time. It is like a painter that paints different vistas in a single painting.

- Excellent follow up CD to the last CD with 'Speed'.
This CD is a fresh new patch of songs in the same league as the last CD done with Speed as the duo singing section. This is totally brilliant music that I can't get enough of. Excellent melodic sections, killer solos. This stuff is similar to In Flames and Soilwork. Soilwork's singer, 'Speed' has done two CD's now with Disarmonia Mundi. DM is actually one man which plays both guitar sections, sings, and drums; one more man plays bass. Check around for that info, it's amazing stuff from that one Italian musician. I don't think they can play live :).
