INXS is almost readily associated with rock music and though there're certain flashes of rock in this song "Afterglow",it is actually a very soft song and a romantic one too. This is an immensely romantic song and is really pleasing to the ear. "Afterglow" underlines INXS's massive success and creativity and is a great song in all aspects.
You know, this video for Afterglow really caught me by surprise in a good way. I immediately went out to fetch a copy of SWITCH and thankfully I was able to listen to it first. Of course, Afterglow IS NOT THE SAME TRACK ON CD AS IT IS IN THE VIDEO. So I did not end up buying the album. Kind of like how all these "definitive" best of collections that always seem to leave off at least 1 or 2 sadly neglected hits. (Jackson Browne double cd, for one)
So I looked for the CD single of Afterglow. And it's friggin $12. More with s/h. Doesn't this seem rather steep for a CD SINGLE??? Sheesh.
I'm a music fan in every sense but it's reasons like this that make downloading for free, seem fair and justified.
