Noah and the Whale Album: “Peaceful, The World Lays Me Down”

This is a really solid debut album that shows a wide range of diversity. While the two "singles", Shape of My Heart and 5 Years Time are both really great, they aren't the only two songs on the album. I can listen over and over, not skip a song and seemingly never get bored. Definitely worth a listen and obviously a buy.

I got sucked in when I heard 5 Years Time on KEXP. The whole CD is just excellent and the songs are not all alike. I've been listening to this album over and over in the last few days with a dash of KaiserCartel thrown in here and there.

I listened to this group by chance in Pandora, and was immediately hooked, and ended up downloading this disc from Amazon. I am glad I did. Noah and the Whale made a great debut with this album. Their lyrics are sarcastic, but they let through a quirky honesty that is refreshing as they explore love, life, and relationships. They've managed to create beautiful harmonics, that give their songs an innovative energy that I keep getting drawn to over and over again. I cannot but highly recommend getting this album, you'll certainly enjoy them.

This band is one of my daughter's favorites. She was thrilled with the purchase & has bought other CD's by them as well.

I bought this CD after hearing the group on NPR. Beautiful, truthful lyrics that stick with me through the day and unique instrumentals. Also, great album art!
