- Hidden Gem!!

Unbeknownst to many, some early versions of this European 42 track version of "Hits" contains a rare alternate version of How Can You Mend A Broken Heart with Barry singing lead on the first verse!! The instrumentation is slightly different as well with some horns. I already had the U.S. version, but had to grab the European version for this one song alone, and it was well worth it!

- The Japanese Version With Some Pluses!

Although this version of "The Record" is somewhat expensive, it is better packaged than the USA or UK versions. "Melody Fair" is included here (a huge #1 hit in 1969 in Japan), as well as "My World", although "Jumbo" is not. The digital remastering is identical to all other releases. There is however, a lyric booklet which is sorely missing from all other releases. Considering themselves to be songwriters first, why didn't the Bee Gees release a lyric booklet on the other world-wide releases? Sometimes the Japanese are a little bit ahead in packaging (for a price). This is a great collector's item which probably will not last long. Grab it!

- Well Worth The Price..........

You better grab this one while they still have it. The Japanese import version is all complete. All there greatest hits are all here. Plus, their lyrics book with all the words to every song and another separate booklet that tells you what year a song was released and from what album is also included. Very well packaged. Better than the ones there selling in canada and the u.s. A little bit pricey but well worth it if you are a big bee gees fan. My mother liked mine so much I'm getting her one for mother's day. She's also a big bee gees fan. Happy listening.
