<p>The Gibb brothers have been laying their high, vibrato-laden three-part harmonies over the pop flavor of the day for more than three decades. The trio have enjoyed incarnations as Beatle-esque '60s Brit-poppers, hairy-chested disco kings and high-tech Adult Contemporary stalwarts. In every phase of their career, the band has maintained a high standard of composition and performance, often turning out glossy, overproduced albums, but never releasing anything qualitatively inconsistent with the bulk of their work. STILL WATERS is no exception. Despite the presence of producers like David Foster and Arif Mardin (immediate warning signs of overkill-in-progress), the brothers' Aussie harmonies are as smooth as ever, and they still know how to put together a sugary-sweet pop tune with style and class.

- Always a winner
STILLWATERS is by far and away the BEST Bee Gees album. They just got better and better with each new release, and have proven they are capable of conquering any sound, and setting the standards for a few of their own.
Do to the unfortunate passing of Maurice, we will only be able to enjoy what has been, instead of looking forward to what is to come.
Having said that, I WILL continue to enjoy listening to the Bee Gees over and over again.

- A Keeper
Really enjoy this CD and takes me back. I dug out my older BGs CDs and enjoyed them all over again. Something soothing about the harmony of their voices. - A very creative CD featuring totally new arrangements!
I was suprised at the newer arrangements, different beat and featuring some well received vocal harmonies. Barry's true voice somes thru. |
