- A great change.
This album really suprised me when I bought it and heard the first song. I was sort of worried when I bought it because I thought it could be very poppy like there previous two albums. Well when I heard the first few songs I was shocked, and very happy.
This album is quick,fast,funny, and energetic unlike IDSS. There are really good pump up tracks like "How They Getcha", "My Neck And My Back", and "Be A Good Robot." There are also some mellower songs that are also great like "I Am Crushed", and "My Special Moment."
I think this album was awesome. Although it's a four star album because of length, and it isn't as good as Fear Of A Punk Planet, or Peace Thru Vandalism. Overall I recommend this to any fans of punk, and a must have for a Vandals fan.

- Didn't meet my expectations.
After Internet Dating Superstuds I expected another great cd from these punk veterans. Well this cd isn't great. It's good but not great. The first song is awesome, it reminds me of something off of Live Fast Diharea. Overall though this cd doesn't have the stand out songs that the Vandals have been known for. I know it's an old cliche to say that "all the songs sound the same" but in a way this cd is like that. I like the fact that Dave tries to do a lot of interesting vocal changes on this cd but it doesn't mix well with the music. I was expecting a cd that was really catchy and really fast, and while this cd has a few fast songs it doesn't have the catchy Vandals style songs you're used to. E. - Not what i expected.
This cd has got some good songs on it and some really bad ones. The good ones like "how they getcha" and "dig a hole" (best song on the cd) Their are about 5 good songs on the cd out of 12. If you like a mellowed out Vandals then you will like this, if you like the more punk vandals, then check out their Live Fast Diahrea cd or When in Rome do as the Vandals. |
