- UFO lands in fine style!

This is a 2 CD Best of Singles Collection; A must for any UFO fan. Hi-lites: Written comments by the man (Phil Mogg) on all the songs; Some hard to find CD singles (i.e. Give her the Gun and Sweet Little Thing- the first recordings with Michael SChenker, prior to the Phenomenon album; Hot N Ready-Live; Everybody Knows (previously a B-side from the Making Contact era), but the real gem is "Heel of a Stranger" from the Mechanix era. It's not a "great" song but just something about hearing Phil Mogg on a song these ears have never heard before- just priceless. The packaging is superb. Buy it!

- The best UFO compilation available for real fans

A truly great release for UFO completists--this 2 disc set features the tracks from every single ever released by the mighty UFO, from their early pre-Schenker years through the '85-86 lineup with guitarist Atomic Tommy M. So you get the typical "hits" like "Lights Out", "Shoot Shoot", "Rock Bottom" and "Doctor Doctor", along with rare non-lp b-sides, both studio and live, and the ultra-rare first single with Michael Schenker, with "Give Her the Gun" and "Sweet Little Thing". The packaging is also fantastic, with track notes from singer Phil Mogg, lots of pictures and detailed information on every song. The downside? 11 tracks from the early 70s pre-Michael Schenker years (when they were a pretty average British rock band, at best, and hadn't started writing those classic songs yet), and the waste-of-time stuff from the awful "Misdemeanor" era (thus the 4 stars out of 5). But for the Schenker and Paul Chapman-era rarities, this is a great compilation for true fans.

- uh - where's Too Hot to Handle?

This would be a 4 or 5 star CD if they had not 'overlooked' this band's top single. Kind of a rip, really. Anyway, the rest of the CD is great and the early stuff is a real treat: nice, raw, bluesy guitar-driven stuff. Great band.
