Disco de Dr. Hook: “Pleasure & Pain”

This "box" has everey great tunes that this great band recorded during the seventies, and early eighties. The big hits- "Sylvia`s mother" , "Cover of The rolling stone" , "Only sixteen", "A little bit more" , When your in love with a beautifull woman" and "Sexy eyes" . But their greatest songs are also on this box set. These are in my opinion: "Carrie me carry", "Ballad 0f Lucy Jordan" , and "A couple more ywears". ......The best part oef these 3 CD s is ,anyway, in my opinion, CD number 3 where a lot of " previously unrealesed songs" are included. "I cannot believe that " I never got to know her" , "Stuck on the Wrong side of love", "That plane" , "Pleasure and pain" did not make the "line up" any original Dr.hook album ! - These are great songs. With (In my opinion) potential to be classics.! THIS IS DR.HOOK!

As with all of Dr Hook's early output, this album of magical content from one of Rock's all time zainy bands is priceless and timeless. The other reviewers seem to have covered it, so I'll just encorage you to buy it, then come visit the other Hook fans and original members of the band, in the Official Dr Hook online Fanclub and community. We'll be glad to HOOK up!!

Dr. Hook was a mainstay for those of us who grew up in the late 1970's and early 1980's. This album in particular was not a top-seller, but the songs are very melodic and heartfelt. I have recently ordered this CD through GEMM after searching for a very long time to find it. I highly recommend this album if you are a fan of Dr. Hook or the songs of the late 70's and early 80's.

The first 11 titles of disc 1 are screwed up. Sloppy data entry for sure.

I HAD THE LP ALBUM "PLEASURE AND PAIN" WHICH OF COURSE IS NOW SCRATCHED DO TO EXTENSIVE PLAYING. I HAVE LOOKED FOR THE CD FOR YEARS. FINALLY, I CAN LISTEN TO MY FAVORITE SONGS OF MY FAVORITE ARTIST AGAIN.
