- Lovin it!

Let me just point out that I've been following Sylvain since he played in 'The Pox' back in '67.. So yeah I'm old school. The songwriting is as strong as ever on this album, still very 60's/rhythm and blues drenched in Davids signature dirty vocal, love it. Solid from beginning to end, with stand out tracks 'Fool For You Baby', 'Funky but chic' and 'Streetcake' which is my personal favorite. It is awesome to see after all these years NY Dolls are still rocking hard as ever, this album is a must have .. period.

- Way way underrated for 2011

This release - like ALL 2011 releases from older acts - was completely ignored by all year-end best of lists. And of all those releases, this Dolls record is the top of the heap. It has my absolute favorite song of the year on it - "Streetcake" - I haven't gotten into a song as much as this one in a long long time. It doesn't matter whether it sounds like "old Dolls" or not - it is just great music that has a surprising melodic depth and been-around-the-block casualness to it. Buy it if only for "Streetcake".

- Brilliant

While I loved both "One Day It Will Please Us To Remember Even This" and "Cause I Sez So," this is the best of the best of the reunion albums. The great song writing, playing and production (Louis XIV) take the Dolls back to their real roots. Frank "The Freak" and Jason Hill both fit right in after Steve, Brian and Sami's departure. Can't recommend it highly enough!!!

- Sound, anyone?

ok. admittedly i downloaded a 320 kbps .rar version of this. i have one question... does the official release sound like totally distorted bass-heavy crap? if not let me know. maybe i'll buy the official release. song-wise, this is the worst dolls ever, but it's still not terrible... i'd have kept sami yaffa and steve conte. earl slick is legendary and all, but he doesn't fit in here.

- the DOLLS abide!!!

Always a NY Dolls fan, this is one of their best to date. Great production, fun songs, quintessential DOLLS.
