An excellent marketing strategy which proved Poison may have put out two multi-platinum albums but weren't about to slack off, they do the obvious thing and compile each and every promo video in their good time hard rockin' arsenal and unleash them on home video to their adoring masses. And even though I'm only a very occasional fan of the bands party hard schtick it's gotta be said, the enclosed videos really do indicate exactly what this band were about.

A cursory glance at the tracklisting will show all the expected suspects - Cry Tough, I Want Action, Talk Dirty To Me. Seriously brainless and quintessential late 80's hair metal stuff with lots of teased hair, as many pyros as they could afford (not many in the early days) and not only simplistic songs but simplistic videos to match. Come the second albums bunch o' tunes it's obvious the band had some more money to play with - heck we actually get some stabs at plot to the vidoes! Discretely ignoring Your Mama Don't Dance, videos/songs such as Nothin' But A Good Time and Fallen Angel are seriously guilty pleasures. Many people at the time dissed this band, myself included, but most of us had at least a couple of their songs on a tape somewhere. For use in the privacy of our own homes...

And yeah the megahit Every Rose Has It's Thorn has it's video on here - I mean if it wasn't the compilers would of had to be lynched right?

So there you go, probably not the sort of release that has a huge market anymore, but if you want to get all the videos from their first two albums then this is the place to go. Just pretend your buying it for the wife and that'll make you feel better.

If you are a POISON fan you will love this I showed it to my neice and had to buy her one last year for christmas. The only thing I did'nt like is it is mostly Brett,and I am a CC fan
