- Good rock single but excellent video
I haven't really ever been a fan of Red Hot Chili Peppers, but this track "Otherside" really caught my attention one day and I had to pick it up before it went out of print. So I got it and really enjoyed the softer rock with really good lyrics. The guitar rock and even the wording shows signs of Smashing Pumpkins, but maybe I just want to hear what I want to hear. Also the video directed by the same famous duo known for "Tonite, Tonite" helped force that into my head. If you haven't seen the video, this single is worth the price for just that alone. It's a dark silent movie feel such as the fore mentioned Pumpkins video. I prefer it way over the massive video game thing of "Califronication". You'll also find a nice seventies funkish track in "How Strong". Sung with a lot of passion and made interesting by later harder rock guitars. Another really good song.
I'm still not convinced that I'm going to get any Chili Peppers albums, but this song hooked me. Fans, get this one just for the impressive video. Non fans, give the song a chance as a nice intro into the group before getting any albums.
- Really good single
Otherside is one of my favortie songs, so i was excited when I saw the single hanging in the msuci stores shelves. The title track is definitely the highlight, but the other song, a previosely unreleased single, "how strong," is pretty good, too. And i was also excited about the music video that was contained on this CD, i really love the video. But, unfortunately, the movie wouldn't play on my computer. But it's still a good single anyway.

- I Hate Pop, But I Love This Song
I am sad that this amazing piece of musicianship has become a hit single. This, along with Scar Tissue from the Californication album are two great desert tunes. As you listen to this song, you may see visions of cruising along in the desert in a convertible around sunset. It comes with a great unreleased track, How Strong, which mixes funk with blues perfectly. It also comes with a video of Otherside, which in my opinion should be flip flopped with the great Scar Tissue video. If you're looking for something cheap to buy, get this, it'll be worth your pennies.
